lomarlabs Receives Prestigious Maritime Innovation Pioneer 2026 Award from CFI.co

London, 26 May 2026lomarlabs, Lomar’s venture catalyst focused on advancing maritime innovation, has been named “Maritime Innovation Pioneer 2026 – Europe” by CFI.co as part of the leading media organisation’s prestigious annual international awards programme.

The award recognises lomarlabs’ approach to advancing maritime decarbonisation and operational innovation through structured collaboration, real-world deployment, and commercially grounded pilot programmes.

In its official remarks, the CFI.co Judging Panel highlighted lomarlabs’ “disciplined, problem-led innovation” and its ability to convert “maritime uncertainty into a managed portfolio of executable options, rather than a single technology bet.”

The judges also noted the strength of lomarlabs’ operational model, which leverages the platform and expertise of parent company Lomar Shipping to support the testing and deployment of emerging technologies under real commercial conditions.

Commenting on the recognition, Stylianos Papageorgiou, Managing Director of lomarlabs said:

“This award reflects the work of an extraordinary group of founders, engineers, operators and partners who are helping move maritime innovation from theory into practice. At lomarlabs, we believe meaningful progress comes from testing technologies under real operational conditions, understanding constraints early, and building pathways toward commercial adoption. We are enormously grateful to CFI.co for recognising that approach.”
